Kurz vor der DrupalCon Ende September 2017 in Wien entstand diese Diskussion bei drupal.org

DrupalCon Europe: Where do we go from here?

Auch wenn sich endlich etwas tut an der Spitze. Leider erst jetzt, nach vielen Jahren (angefangen hat es mit Paris!), diskutiert man dort darüber, warum zu den Drupal Conferences in Europa immer weniger Leute kommen. Europa ist nicht Amerika, die Kosten sind zu hoch, die kleinen Entwickler werden verprellt, es geht nur noch um große Agenturen... Drupal, wo ist Dein Charme geblieben? Es hieß mal Komme wegen der Software, bleibe wegen der Community. Hoffentlich ist diese Wende noch zu stoppen. Hier die Antwort der Drupal Association auf meinen Austritt: Thank you for supporting through membership. I'd like to clarify that the Drupal Association is not pulling out of Europe. We want to do a better job for Europe. The event is clearly not meeting the needs. By taking a pause and having the right discussions, together, we will find a better path forward. I am encouraged by the great discussions already taking place. I hope you will join in the discussions, too. If you have ideas please! We are listening.
